anthony anderson died on friday night after a confrontation with police. his granddaughter's birthday party when officers assaulteda number of family members say they witnessed the event. two detectives are telling a different story. they say they caught anderson in a drug deal. >> they observed him put what they suspected to be some type of narcotics in his mouth in an atttempt to hide them. so they placed him under arrest for that, took him into police custody, put handcuffs on him. he then started complaining of discomfort and pain. it was believed at the time that he may have ingested some of the drugs that he had and maybe was choking on them. >> police say the officers have been placed on suspension with pay pending the outcome of this investigation. more on the story coming up at
